| Abstrak / Catatan | ABOUT THE BOOK
Adsorption has become a key separations tool in
the chemical and petrochemical industries, largely
due to the developments during the last two
decades. This book provides an up-to-date and
comprehensive account of all fundamental scientific
principles and engineering designs of gas separation
and purification processes.
Gas Separation by Adsorption Processes is a complete
treatise covering all aspects of adsorption processes,
ranging from thermodynamics of adsorption to
process design and modeling of cyclic processes.
A unique feature of this book is that, for the first
time, a complete account is given for all existing
theories on adsorption of mixtures, as well as all
cyclic adsorption processes. A particular emphasis
is given to the relatively new pressure swing
adsorption process, which is becoming increasingly
important in industry and awaits many new
applications.
Comprehensive discussions are also provided for
the adsorber column dynamics, rate processes in
adsorbers, fundamental theories on adsorption,
selection of adsorbents, and all cyclic adsorption
processes, including those yet to be commercialized.
This book is ideal as a reference or a starting point
for professionals and students interested in gas
separation and purification processes. It is readable
by both scientists and engineers. It can also serve as
a basis for process selection, development and design
of new cyclic processes, and-future research. |
